Pictured above is our state of the art fitness center. It's our way of letting you unwind, or gear up for the big day while you are in town. The fitness center is complimentary and located on the second floor of the hotel.

Adjacent to the fitness center is our new concept Relaxation Club.

The Relaxation Club of the Hampton Inn & Suites Albany Downtown is a professionally designed, state-of-the-art haven for the weary traveler.  Most hotels attempt to make a connection with the Guest’s mind (business center, high speed internet access, newspaper, etc.) and body (enhanced bedding, fitness center).  Yet we have added a third component – a connection with your spirit.

For a nominal fee per thirty minute, private session, each Guest can enjoy the following exhilarating amenities:

Massage Chair

Our exclusive leather chair's new features include:

• Full-Body Stretch. The footrest gently grips your calves as the power recline moves back, arching your body in a relaxing stretch.
• Penetrating Neck Massage. Enjoy the deepest penetrating cervical massage ever offered in any massage chair.
• Custom Comfort. Adjust for your height and body type so the massage hits all the right spots.
• Back Massage Programs. Preprogrammed 15-minute routines can focus on your entire Back, or your Upper or Lower Back.
• Foot Massage Programs. Two 15-minute programs offer gentle or vigorous Calf & Foot Massage.

Steam Room / Sauna

The steam room and sauna in the Relaxation Club of the Hampton Inn & Suites Albany Downtown is the ideal way to relax and let that big capital district meal you had for dinner settle and melt away. Check with the front desk for availability or call ahead to reserve your slot in the Relaxation Club.

Tanning Bed

Our Relaxation Club comes complete with a Signature Series SunMaster Tanning Bed! Of course it's the perfect escape from the dark of night, the cold of winter, or to just keep your tan while traveling in the capital district. Our equipment features the following:

• Full body cooling system that creates a breeze over you while you tan
• Genuine Magnatek electronic system. No buck boost transformers or 220v hookups needed! Connects to two 110 to 120 volt circuits
• Staggered lamp design allows tanners well over 6ft. tall to get a great tan. Over 81" long by 34 inches wide! (about 6 inches longer than a standard SunMaster, or other tanning bed)
• Single onboard time that is visible while you tan. Handy emergency ON/OFF switch, plus switch for the full body cooling fans, all at your finger tips
• Pedestal base kit for a more substantial look and feel. It looks more like a fine piece of furniture, unlike other "industrial" looking systems
• 18 Brilliance F71 5% UVB and 6 Dual Sun 5%/7.5% UVB 100 watt lamps. These are EXCEPTIONAL lamps, and give up to 20% more UV output than many salon grade tanning lamps
